D&D Without Gatekeeping
Have you ever wanted to learn to play Dungeons & Dragons but were intimidated by the rules, the dice, the books, the everything? Are you a veteran player—even one of earlier editions—who wants to play for the sake of fun?
Originally launched from the women-only Ladies of Elizabethtown Facebook group, Wine, Women, and Bard Song is a D&D game aimed at beginners and designed with flexibility for drop-in players alongside a core group of regulars.
Players of any gender, age, and D&D experience level are welcome.

Katherine Leonard
Katherine’s first experiences with D&D were with AD&D 2nd edition in the late 80s. Then, when the 3rd edition rules were released in the early 2000s, she began playing frequently with a group of high school friends. The 3rd edition rules later evolved into 3.5e, which she still plays remotely today with a group of friends from all across the country, including the high school friend whose dad was the DM years ago.
Katherine is new to 5th edition D&D so she views WWBS as an enjoyable opportunity to both learn and teach the game. She is also surprisingly—perhaps even disturbingly—comfortable referring to herself in the 3rd person.
