Eliana Azenofar
Azenofar Eliana grew up in the town of Daggerford, one of three hatchlings raised in the same clutch. Breaking with tradition, the Azenofar clan decided to collectively parent the trio, rather than rearing duties falling solely on the same-sex parent of each child. Despite this breach, the clan had other strong traditions, including that of service to their adopted homeland, with many of the clan joining the ranks of the duchy’s militia. Eliana and her siblings were on the path to do the same when a huge red dragon suddenly appeared over the town and nearly destroyed it in his passing.
Eliana, Kastus, and Shaada all turned their aspirations to the ranks of the faithful of Bahamut, with Kastus and Shaada pledging to become paladins of the Justicemaker while Eliana chose a more priestly path. Regardless of vocation, once the trio had completed their training, they were sent off in different directions to join with other warriors in hunting evil dragons, worshippers of Tiamat, and members of the Cult of the Dragon.
Eliana was told she’d find the other members of her group in Waterdeep, but she has yet to meet anyone matching the description she was given. Nevertheless, she believes it be only a matter of time before she is contacted, and in the meantime, there’s justice to mete out and the vulnerable to rescue.
Traits
“I don’t understand the obsession the soft-skins have with being ‘witty’. I say what I mean and mean what I say.”
Ideals
“The forces of evil will never relent, so the forces of good must be ever-vigilant and strong.”
Bonds
“My clan has served the Sword Coast valiantly since we were first brought to this world, and I am honored to do the same.”
Flaws
“I have an impressive legacy to live up to, and I’m not sure I’m up to task.”
“I Know a Guy”
Some of Eliana’s training—and much of Kastus’ and Shaada’s—was conducted by Sir Isteval, a retired Purple Knight and Paladin of Lathander. Originally from Cormyr, Isteval had earned a solid reputation as a dragon slayer, though his last battle with a green dragon had left him with an injured leg. Fitting with his reputation, Isteval uses a cane made from dragonbone to help him walk.
Friends & Enemies
Eliana’s “siblings” are paladins in the service of Bahamut and have been similarly sent out across the west coast of Faerûn to counter the activities of evil dragons. All who proudly bear the holy symbol of the Platinum Dragon will find themselves the target of the much-more secretive worshippers of Tiamat and the fervent members of the apocalyptic Cult of the Dragon.
