Pippa “Pip” Anatolia
It’s not easy being a small person in a world full of much bigger people, but Pippa “Pip” Anatolia thinks she manages pretty well. At balls in Delthuntle, she never had any shortage of dance partners, even if she did occasionally have to stand on the feet of the human or elven ones. Her concerts never lacked for an audience, either, and she had plans to take her act on the road.
But then her childhood friend Donnola Topolino announced she was finally going to marry the love of her life, the dashing Spider Parrafin, and Pip rejoiced. When Donnola declared she was moving the whole of her family’s diminished-but-still-valued business across the continent for a fresh start among new friends, Pip knew she’d found her chance to venture forth herself.
Dulthuntle was a great city for a halfling, but the Sword Coast is even better. Whether flitting along the outskirts of Waterdhavian intrigue at grand soirees or traveling the aptly-named Long Road with the Grinning Ponies band of halfling adventurers, this is the life Pip had always dreamed would be hers.
Traits
“I’m just as home in the wilds as I am in a ballroom, and while I’m happy to socialize and mingle, I’m not quite as open to others as I pretend to be. I’m just looking for a good time!”
Ideals
“Whenever the open road calls, I’ll answer, but I’ll never stray far from those I call family.”
Bonds
“My best friend from childhood didn’t even have to ask me to move halfway across Faerûn with her.”
Flaws
“Love ‘em and leave ‘em: romance can be fun when it’s new, but I am not interested in anything long-term.”
“I Know a Guy”
Pip has ridden with the Grinning Ponies, a band of pony-riding halfling vigilantes who have patrolled as far north as Mirabar and Luskan, and as far south as Scornubel and Elturel, though since moving their headquarters from Boareskyr Bridge to Longsaddle, they’ve ventured south of Daggerford only once. Their leader, Doregardo, considers Pip an honorary niece.
Friends & Enemies
Who doesn’t love Pip? She’s friendly, she’s outgoing, she breaks hearts wherever she goes! If a certain overly-clingy merchant from Veltalar can’t accept that it isn’t in Pip’s nature to settle down so early in her young life, that’s his problem, not hers.
